Fresno’s water conservation news from the summer also is interesting — compared to last year, water use dropping by 8% in July and 16% in August.
The July reduction actually took place before residents were restricted to twice-a-week outdoor watering, instead of the three-day watering rules that had been in place for many years.
Remember folks, you can’t water outside at all from Dec. 1 to March 1 this winter.
Fresno has scheduled a series of water forums that will begin on Monday, Sept. 29, to discuss the plan to improve the pipelines and water system. The first forum will be at Hoover High School, 5550 N. First St.
Each event will begin with an open house format from 6 to 7 p.m. followed by an in-depth presentation and discussion from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. For details, got www.RechargeFresno.com or call 844-373-7664.
