Hundreds of students, many accompanied by package-hauling siblings and parents, began moving into their rooms in residence halls at Fresno State on Thursday, the first day to move into university housing.
Although most were expected to arrive on Thursday, some students will trickle in through the weekend prior to the start of classes on Monday.
University Courtyard residence halls will be home to 900 students, most of whom arrived Thursday with armloads of possessions and proud parents in tow.
The students will have little time to relax — the university is providing tours, entertainment and other events to acclimate them to the campus and their new roommates and suite mates, Housing Director Erin Boele said.
