The State Center Community College District will hold a town hall meeting Tuesday to talk about the upcoming vote on Measure C, an educational facilities bond that would fund new construction projects on campuses.
At Clovis Community College, a new Career and Vocational Technology Education Building is scheduled for construction with funds from Measure C.
Clovis College President Deborah Ikeda is scheduled to speak about project funding and will answer questions related to the measure at the town hall, which will be at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the California Health Sciences University.
With funds from this measure, Fresno City College could get new math and science classrooms and labs, as well as 1,500 new parking spaces that would give students easier access to the college, said the district’s political action committee, Friends of State Center Community College District.
Measure C would provide Reedley College modernized classrooms to house math and science courses as well as a new performing arts center that would give students and the community higher education opportunities in the arts.
Madera Community College Center projects include a Center for Advanced Manufacturing, and the Oakhurst Center could get classrooms and labs.
The measure will be up for a vote in Fresno, Madera, Kings and Tulare counties on June 7.
