Students in grades kindergarten through 12 can enter artwork in the Tulare County Association of Governments’ clean air contest. The winner receives a free bicycle and helmet.
The Walk & Roll poster is intended to encourage students to show how they walk, ride and roll to school in order to help clean the air in Tulare County. Categories are kindergarten through grade one; grades two and three; grades four and five; grades six to eight; and grades nine to 12.
“TCAG has sponsored this contest for many years as a fun way to encourage students to think about how they can personally make a difference in cleaning our air,” sad Andrea Apolinario of the association of governments. “We hope to show how students already participate and encourage others to make clean air choices.”
Posters should be submitted on standard 8.5 by 11 paper. Students may use any artistic medium, including crayon and colored pencils. The student’s name, grade, school and phone number must be noted on the back of the submitted artwork.
