Four Valley students were each awarded $1,500 renewable scholarships from Farm Credit West on Tuesday for their commitment to making a difference in their agricultural communities.
Each student will receive the first $1,500 installment for the 2015-16 school year and may receive an additional $1,500 each of the next three years.
Sarah Dreyer of Exeter Union High School is an active FFA and 4-H member as well as a prolific athlete. She will major in animal science at Oregon State University in the fall.
Elena Montemagni of Redwood High School in Visalia is an FFA and lifetime California Scholarship Federation member. She also interned for Congressman David Valadao. She will major in pre-veterinary science at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln in the fall.
Matt Pandol III of Garces Memorial High School in Delano is a California Scholarship Federation member, a Boys State Delegate and an athlete. He plans to study agronomy at Purdue University.
Noah Rollin of Lemoore Middle College High School is an FFA and 4-H member and an athlete. He will study mechanical engineering at Fresno State.
