Fresno State nursing students will get simulation mannequins so they can practice their skills, university officials said Friday.
The university's Department of Nursing received $174,356 in federal stimulus funds for the mannequins, said Michael Russler, head of the nursing program.
The equipment will be part of the university's simulation laboratory, scheduled to open in February 2011.
Students from nursing programs throughout the central San Joaquin Valley will use the lab for training.
