A Fresno Unified School District bus driver was charged Thursday with receiving and distributing child pornography.
The FBI filed the charges against Ramon Arturo Martinez, 51, of Fresno in U.S. District Court. Martinez, who has worked for Fresno Unified for 26 years, was placed on administrative leave with pay Thursday pending the outcome of the investigation, said Susan Bedi, school district spokeswoman.
Martinez was arrested about 1:45 p.m. Wednesday at the school district's bus yard near Shaw and Brawley avenues, Bedi said.
No Fresno Unified students are believed to be involved in the pornography allegedly found in Martinez's possession, she said.
