Sanger student wins Congressional Art Competition

Adam L. Silva is this year's winner of the annual Congressional Art Competition, Congressman Jim Costa, D-Fresno, announced.

Silva is a student at Hallmark Charter School in Sanger. His painting "Luna & Night Sky" will be sent to Washington, D.C. next month to be on display in the Cannon House Office Building tunnel for one year with other winning artwork from around the nation.

Sara Flowers, a student at Hanford West High School, won second place with a piece titled "Self-Portrait," and the third-place winner was Maria D. Salcido, a student at McFarland High School, with a piece titled "Rising Son."
