Jamison High School in Lemoore has been named a model continuation high school by State Superintendent of Public Instruction Jack O'Connell.
O'Connell announced Tuesday that 12 continuation high schools were recognized statewide.
Continuation high schools enroll students who are falling behind and might not graduate. To get state recognition, schools must apply and show a review team that they have good administrators, teachers and classes.
The other schools selected are in Riverside, Indio, Calexico, Costa Mesa, San Jose, Culver City, Whittier, Arroyo Grande, San Bernardino, Bellflower and Perris.
