Fresno students try to break jump rope record

About 100 kids from Scandinavian Middle School in Fresno attempted to break a Guinness World Record for the “Most People Jumping/Skipping Rope at the Same Time” on Monday.

Approximately 88,000 children throughout California joined in a mass jumping starting at 9 a.m. in order to beat the record of 59,000 people held by Australia.

The kids jumped for 10 minutes in an effort designed to highlight the importance of keeping physically fit.
