Coats, shoes, socks and blankets were given to needy students Wednesday in the Fresno and Central unified school districts.
Members of Peoples Church were at Fresno Unified's King Engineering (Elementary) School where they provided new shoes and socks to students.
Women at the church also gave handmade blankets to kindergartners at the southwest Fresno school. Earlier this month, the church gave coats to students.
In Central Unified, 667 coats were distributed to children at 20 schools. The event kicked off at Harvest Elementary School west of Highway 99.
