Fresno man says he was stabbed by suspect known as 'Looney'

A 24-year-old man sustained minor stab wounds to his hands, back and face Monday night near 723 N. Ferger Ave. in central Fresno, Lt. Joe Gomez said.

The victim, Luis Padilla, knows one of the suspects only as “Looney,” Gomez said.

“Looney” allegedly began stabbing the victim after accusing him of sleeping with his girlfriend.

Another man, “Eric,” allegedly joined the fray and stabbed the victim in the back and face, Gomez said.

Padilla told police officers that “Looney” is a Bond Street Bulldog gang member and has a paw print tattoo next to one of his eyes, Gomez said.

The suspects fled on foot after the attack and remain at large, police said.

Padilla was treated for his injuries at Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno.
