Visalia home invaders run after firing a shot

Two home invaders ran after one of them fired a shot – possibly inadvertent – late Thursday night in Visalia, police reported.

Sgt. Mark Feller said the incident happened about 11 a.m. at an apartment on Leslie Street, near Mooney Boulevard and Goshen Avenue in north Visalia.

Three females in the apartment reported that two unknown males armed with handguns barged in and were attempting to restrain the females when a shot rang out and both intruders ran off. None of the females was hit by the round.

Police searched the area but didn’t find either suspect. No other details about the case were released and the investigation is continuing.
