Four weekend traffic violations in Fresno resulted in the gun-related arrest of four gang members, police said.

About 11 p.m. Sunday, officers stopped motorcyclist Richard Turney, 48, a felon and Peckerwood gang member, near Ashlan and Blackstone avenues and found he had a loaded .380 Ruger handgun. He was booked into Fresno County Jail on multiple charges including having a stolen gun, driving with a suspended license because of a DUI and riding without a helmet.

▪ Just after 10 p.m. Saturday, officers stopped felon and East Side Fresno Bulldog gang member Thomas Christopher Carrisales, 27, at West and McKinley avenues and found a stolen, loaded sawed-off shotgun, methamphetamine, body armor and a skull mask in his car.

▪ About 12:10 a.m. Saturday, Multi-Agency Gang Enforcement Consortium officers made a stop at McKinley Avenue and Ninth Street, spotted a handgun in a net pocket on the back of the driver’s seat and arrested the rear passenger, Bulldog gang member Eric Quintana, 20, on weapons violations.

▪ On Friday night, MAGEC detectives patrolling southwest Fresno saw a car run a stop sign and followed it two blocks to Ventura and Tupman streets where the driver had pulled over. Darren Coleman, 21, said he stopped to close the car’s gas door. The detectives spotted a handgun sticking out from under the front seat; it was loaded and reported stolen in 2015.

Coleman bailed out of jail Saturday afternoon; the other three remained in custody Monday morning.
