Three gang associates were taken into custody after a traffic stop in central Fresno on Saturday night, Fresno police said.
Sgt. Justin Hoagland said 28-year-old Tino Monia was driving with two passengers near East Tyler Avenue and North First Street around 10:30 p.m. when officers pulled the car over for a traffic violation.
Monia was found to have warrants out for his arrest. One passenger, 33-year-old Anthony Monia, was wearing an ankle monitor and was found to be in violation of his parole. The other passenger, 23-year-old James Bruton, had a loaded handgun that was registered to him and purchased legally, but he did not have a permit for a concealed weapon. All three men are from Fresno.
