One man and a 17-year-old were arrested in Visalia on weapons, drug and gang-related offenses on Feb. 13, Visalia police said.
Joseph Contreras, 21, and the teenager, who was not named, were arrested around 10 p.m., after they allegedly threw loaded handguns over a wall and attempted to flee officers who approached them near Murray Avenue and Willis Street in Visalia.
They were taken into custody after a short pursuit by police.
Cocaine packaged for sale was found with Contreras, and both suspects are Norteño gang members from Orosi, Visalia police said.
Contreras was booked into the Tulare County Jail on suspicion of numerous weapons, drugs and gang-related charges.
