Man sold 10 pounds of meth ‘in broad daylight’ at Fresno park, prosecutor says

A 22-year-old man pleaded guilty on Monday to selling 10 pounds of methamphetamine ‘in broad daylight’ in a Fresno park, according to federal prosecutors.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office said Isaac James Ocejo of Fresno pleaded to the drug possession with intent to sell both meth and fentanyl. The case was in a federal court because he and a co-conspirator sent drugs in the mail.

Ocejo sent several packages of controlled substance through the U.S. Postal Service between July 2023 and October 2024 from Fresno to other states, prosecutors said.

He also sold meth in town, according to prosecutors. He and co-conspirators bought 15 pounds of methamphetamine in September before selling 10 pounds in ‘broad daylight’ in Trolley Creek Park in southeast Fresno, prosecutors said.

Ocejo and co-defendant Isaac Joseph Estrada were charged with 18 drug-trafficking related counts, according to a news release. Estrada pleaded guilty to conspiracy and distribution crimes and was sentenced to 46 months in November.

Ocejo is scheduled to be sentenced April 20 and faces a mandatory minimum of 10 years and a maximum statutory penalty of life in prison.
