A Los Angeles man has been arrested for the kidnapping and rape of a teen female in Visalia, police said Wednesday.
On March 8, the victim was walking in the area of Noble Avenue and Goddard Street when a man stopped his vehicle and began speaking with her, police said.
He threatened to kill her and her family if she did not get into his vehicle. Out of fear, she got in and was taken to a different location, where she was raped, police said.
Investigators obtained DNA evidence and sent it to the California Department of Justice lab in Fresno, which found a match with Joel Campos, 26, of Los Angeles.
