Juvenile injured in late-night clash following large fight in Fresno, police say

A juvenile was struck by a vehicle Sunday night after a large fight in Fresno.

The incident was reported just after 11 p.m. in the area of Pima and Yale avenues, near Clinton Avenue regarding the fight.

Fresno Police Lt. Marcus Gray said there was a large fight where the suspect got into his vehicle and allegedly struck a juvenile. Gray then said the victim and friends got into a second vehicle and attempted to chase the suspect but could not keep up.

The victim had a minor injury and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Officers remained in the area and were investigating the incident and looking for witnesses and evidence related to the crime.

Gray said intentional assault with a deadly weapon (vehicle) will be charged to the suspect when they are arrested.
