Police investigating shooting near Fresno hospital. Victim in critical condition
Fresno Police are investigating a shooting near downtown Fresno that left a person in critical condition Saturday morning.
A heavy police presence and the crime scene investigation truck were at McKenzie Avenue and Effie Street, a few blocks south of Highway 180 and west of Community Regional Medical Center.
Officers received the report of a gunshot victim at 6:14 a.m., according to Fresno Police.
No further information was available about suspects or why the victim was shot, officers said.
