Hanford police report making a new arrest in the slaying of Salvador Valdovinos, who disappeared from the Kings County city in January, bringing to three the number of suspects in custody in the case.

Arrested was Pete Reyna, 58. Still sought is Mark Valdivia, also known as Mark Tafolla and “Scoobs.”

Police say the department learned of the disappearance of Valdovinos on New Year’s Day, and believe he was killed by John Reyna, 41, and John Peter Trejo, who are in custody in the case. A warrant was issued for Reyna, who was taken into custody Friday.

Police want help finding Valdivia, and ask that anyone with information call the department at 559-585-2540 or the Kings County Major Crimes Task Force at 559-852-2991.
