An Orange Cove man who allegedly test drove multiple all-terrain vehicles and never returned them was arrested this week.

Daniel Garcia, 22, was booked Tuesday into the Fresno County Jail and charged with four counts of grand theft following a five-month investigation.

The Orange Cove Police Department responded in November to four reports of stolen ATVs.

The owners attempted to sell the vehicle to an individual they believed wanted to purchase it. However, the prospective buyer would take the ATV for a “test drive” and never come back.

Orange Cove police said they believe Garcia didn’t act alone in the thefts and others may be involved.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Orange Cove Police at 559-626-5177 or 559-626-5106. Police said the tipster can remain anonymous.
