Deputies saw a trash bag moving. Inside was a puppy, and now they’re looking for suspects

Deputies with the the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office on Monday rescued a puppy found in a trash bag and placed the young dog in a foster home.

The puppy was found near Road 153 and Visalia Avenue as deputies were working on an unrelated investigation and spotted something moving inside a plastic bag on the roadway, sheriff’s spokeswoman Ashley Schwarm said.

Deputies are seeking to find the person suspected of animal cruelty and also want help finding the owner.
