A Fresno man who was stabbed in the chest didn’t realize he’d been injured until he got home after a fight, according to Fresno police.

The fight reportedly happened just after 1:30 a.m. Saturday at Lions Park, at Marks and Rialto avenues in central Fresno. Police said the injured man fought another man before going home, and then later discovered the injury.

A friend rushed him to a hospital and, police reported, the injured man is expected to be OK. Police are not sure who the alleged stabbing suspect is.

The stabbing was one of at least two that happened overnight. A second incident at a 7-Eleven on Palm and McKinley avenues in central Fresno also led to a man being stabbed in the chest.

Police said that man refused medical attention. The stabbing broke out just after 4 a.m. and also appeared to stem from a fight, according to police. The suspect in that case is also unknown.
