‘Kidnapping for ransom’ case leads to arrest in Visalia, police say

A “kidnapping for ransom” that harmed three victims in Cutler and Dinuba has resulted in an arrest in Visalia.

The suspect, Paul Flores, was arrested Thursday by Tulare County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Visalia police officers for alleged kidnappings Oct. 27. The kidnappings occurred at a gas station in Cutler and in the city of Dinuba, the sheriff’s office reported.

Flores was arrested on suspicion of kidnapping, attempted kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon, and the robbery of three people.

Additional suspects in the kidnappings, Jacob Flores, Ericka Flores, Julian Hernandez and Paul Flores, were previously arrested.

“Because the case is ongoing, details surrounding the victims’ release and items stolen will not be released,” the sheriff’s office said.
