Police identify victims of Southeast Fresno house party shooting

Two men who were killed in a house party shooting Saturday evening at Ninth Street and Churchill Avenue have been identified by the Fresno County Coroner’s Office.

Rene Diaz, 27, and Ramon Delgado Jr., 28, were rushed to Community Regional Medical Center, where they later died from their injuries after police say an argument broke out between partygoers and neighbors in the 2400 block of South 9th Street.

A total of four people were injured in the shooting, including another man and a woman, who were listed in stable condition at CRMC.

Some of the partygoers were Bulldog gang members, according to Sgt. Dave Ramos of Fresno Police Department’s homicide unit, and at least two people at the party were armed with guns. It remains unknown if the shooting was gang related.
