An argument at a southeast Fresno house party early Saturday exploded into a shooting that left two people dead and two wounded with the suspects at large, police said.
Officers responded to multiple shots-fired calls near Church Avenue and Ninth Street, a few blocks west of Calwa Park, shortly before 1 a.m. Police found four people — three men and a woman; their identities were not immediately released — who had been shot.
All four were taken to Community Regional Medical Center, where two of the men died. The other man and woman were reported in stable condition, police said.
Detectives investigating the shooting were still at the scene late Saturday morning interviewing witnesses and gathering evidence.

Sgt. Dave Ramos of the homicide unit said detectives believe the argument involved partygoers and people from a house next door. At least two people at the party were armed with guns, Ramos said. Some of the partygoers were Bulldog gang members, though it is not known if the shooting was gang-related.
