Fresno residents Armando Perez, 50, and Christian Sandoval, 22, were charged Thursday with possession and conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, U.S. Attorney Benjamin B. Wagner announced.
On two separate dates in April, according to court documents, Perez provided an undercover officer with an ounce of methamphetamine and then later approximately one pound of the drug. On May 7, Sandoval drove Perez to a meeting with an undercover officer, where Perez provided the officer with 10 pounds of methamphetamine.
If convicted, Perez faces a maximum penalty of life in prison and a $35 million fine. Sandoval faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine.
