A Porterville man was arrested Saturday morning on suspicion of DUI and hit and run, after allegedly causing a three car crash that injured himself and two others, police said.
Ray Baldwin, 28, was allegedly under the influence as he drove north on Indiana Street around 10:48 a.m., running a red light, police said. He allegedly hit a vehicle on Putnam Avenue and that vehicle hit a third vehicle stopped on Indiana Street for the red light.
Baldwin allegedly kept driving despite significant damage to his vehicle, police say, and hit a fence before stopping.
Police arrested Baldwin without incident after he allegedly displayed symptoms of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
