Selma police alerted the community overnight about a viral school shooting threat. The link: Whoever posted the threat targeted “SHS.”
The Selma Police Department said in a Facebook post that there was no credible threat to Selma High School – a conclusion reached by law enforcement agencies around the country responding to the same threat. Still, there was an increased police presence around the campus Thursday morning.
An increased police presence was reported outside Sunnyside High on Thursday morning, too. That campus, along with Edison High, was the target of an online threat last week.

However, Lt. Mark Hudson said Fresno police staffing around Sunnyside was normal.
