Visalia man gets 6 years prison in domestic violence case

A 25-year-old Visalia man found guilty of spousal injury and child cruelty was sentenced to six years, four months prison on Monday, the highest sentence allowed by law, the Tulare County District Attorney’s Office said.

Vincent Diaz attacked the mother of his two children in front of them after escalating arguments on two separate nights in May, the District Attorney’s Office said. Diaz’s children, ages 2 and 4, saw their mother get punched and her hair pulled by their father during the domestic violence incidents. After the second attack the night of May 24, the mother called police.
