Two sought in armed robbery at Fresno 99 Cents Only store

Police are searching for two people who they say held a knife to a woman’s throat and robbed her after she left a 99 Cents Only store in central Fresno on March 31.

Fresno police Sgt. Mark Hudson said that Aurelio Santiago and Nancy Perez allegedly stole the victim’s backpack, which contained her money, a black-and-white wallet and items she had just purchased from the store at 1520 N. First St. The two suspects followed the victim south on First Street for some time before robbing her, Hudson said.

Santiago rides a black mountain bike, while Perez has a pink or purple woman’s beach cruiser bike. Both are wanted for armed robbery.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call detective Donnie Dinnell at (559) 621-6334 or Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-STOP.
