Man arrested for allegedly burglarizing Hanford store

A man was arrested early Thursday morning after surveillance footage linked him to the alleged burglary of a Hanford store, police said.

Lt. George Hernandez said that officers were dispatched to the R-N Market at 10833 Hanford Armona Road at 5:48 a.m. for a burglary alarm. Officers discovered that the east door was broken and determined that cigarettes and lighters were stolen.

Police checked the surveillance footage for a description of the suspect. While patrolling the area, officers located James Foster, 54, of Hanford, and arrested him after a comparison to the footage, Hernandez said.

Hernandez said the owner told police that Foster appeared to be the man who broke into the store on April 2. The east door was still boarded up from that initial burglary.
