Driver held on suspicion of DUI after pedestrian hit in central Fresno

A man is suspected of felony DUI Sunday night after he allegedly ran a red light and struck a pedestrian at the intersection of Dakota and Hughes avenues in central Fresno, police said.

The pedestrian, 21, suffered a broken leg and was taken to Community Regional Medical Center. The 23-year-old driver was arrested. The name of the driver and the condition of the victim were not immediately available.
