Clovis police search for man who flashed children at store

Clovis police are searching for a 60-year-old man who allegedly flashed his genitalia at children inside a local store while they were shopping with their mom for Easter clothes.

Police said the incident happened about 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Burlington Coat Factory on West Shaw Avenue near Minnewawa Avenue. Two children who were shopping with their mother and a relative told police they were first approached by the man in the store’s toy department. The children said the man showed them toys while unzipping his pants. The man then flashed the kids while speaking in a different language, police said.

After the mother notified store employees, the store shut its exits and began looking for the man but didn’t find him.

The man was described as Asian and was seen wearing a blue polo shirt with buttons and khaki cargo shorts. Anyone with information on this case is asked to call the Clovis Police Department at (559) 324-2800 or Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-STOP.
