A Porterville man was arrested Wednesday on drug and child endangerment charges after a routine probation search turned up methamphetamine, police said.
Porterville police Sgt. Rick Carrillo said that Jose Garcia, 41, was arrested after police determined he was high on drugs and found about 4 grams of methamphetamine in his home. The drugs were easily accessible to his four children, ages 7 to 16 years old.
Garcia was booked into the custody of the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department and is being held on $100,000 bail.
