Fresno gang member sought in shooting

Police are searching for a man they say shot another man in March during an argument in east-central Fresno.

Fresno police Lt. Mark Salazar said that Melvin Franklin, 19, of Fresno, shot at and grazed the 33-year-old victim on March 6 near the intersection of Peach and Olive avenues. Franklin is a verified Flyboys gang member, Salazar said.

Franklin is believed to be hiding out in the Fresno area, Salazar said. The gun used for the shooting has not been found.
