Hanford teen allegely steals radio, gun magazine from police officer’s vehicle

A 17-year-old boy is under arrest after Hanford police recovered a stolen police radio and a police handgun magazine.

Friday afternoon, police and Kings County probation officers went to a mobile home park in the 12000 block of West Lacey Boulevard and found a white pickup stolen out of Tulare.

The youth had a Hanford police handgun magazine that police said was stolen along with the radio from an off-duty officer’s vehicle March 19. He also had shaved car keys used to break into cars and start them, police said.

The radio was found at a home near 13th Avenue and Lacey Boulevard.

He was booked into the Kings County Juvenile Center for felony possession of stolen property, possession of burglary tools, misdemeanor possession of stolen property and grand theft auto.
