Porterville parolee arrested for meth possession

Tulare County sheriff’s detectives arrested a 43-year-old Porterville man Thursday after allegedly finding him in possession of methamphetamine during a probation search.

Detectives conducted the search at the home on the 1000 block of East Springville Drive shortly before 11 a.m. During the search, authorities found narcotic prescription medication and methamphetamine the suspect kept hidden. He was booked into Porterville Substation Jail later that day.

Michael Bevens, who did not have a prescription for the medication, was charged with possession of methamphetamine and narcotic paraphernalia.
