A man who apparently walked away from the Fresno County Jail is being sought by sheriff’s deputies.
Sheriff’s spokesman Tony Botti said Sebastian Hernandez Gonzales, 21, is assigned to a utility worker crew and has clearance to work outside the jail. He was assigned to clean the jail lobby when a staff member noticed that he was missing about 5:15 a.m.
Gonzales has been in jail since Dec. 17 and is due to be released June 17. Botti said Gonzales was considered a low flight risk because of his impending release date.
He is 5-feet, 6-inches tall and 150 pounds. His last known address was in Sanger.
Anyone with information about Gonzales is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-STOP.
