Three people were arrested Tuesday in Squaw Valley on suspicion of cultivating marijuana after an elaborate indoor growing operation was removed by the Fresno County Sheriff’s Narcotics Enforcement Team.
Deputies served a search warrant, then took and destroyed 464 marijuana plants from a home in the 38000 block of Sumac Lane.
Four bedrooms and the garage were filled with plants at different stages of maturity. Each room had an air conditioner, fan, ballasts and lights. The suspects also bypassed the electrical meter to steal power, the sheriff’s office said.
PG&E estimates the monthly electrical use at the home was $7,000.
Deputies arrested Dale LaCroix, 32, Joseph Grieco, 22, and Angela Work, 26. All three were charged with cultivating and manufacturing marijuana. LaCroix, who rented the property, also faces a charge of utility theft.
