Police arrested a man on suspicion of burglary Monday afternoon after he woke up a woman sleeping inside a southeast Fresno home while prying her bedroom window open.
Fresno police Sgt. Dennis Lowry said the incident happened about 2:40 p.m. on the 4700 block of East Garrett Avenue. A 24-year-old woman told police she woke up after hearing noises inside her bedroom and saw the man. When she tried to confront the suspect, he left the home and ran east on Garrett Avenue.
