The CHP has issued a statewide Amber Alert for a missing 1-year-old boy whom authorities think was taken from his mother in San Pedro by the baby’s father.
The missing baby was identified as Jayden Nathaniel Santiago. His father, Giovany Santiago-Enriquez, “violently attacked” the mother and stabbed her boyfriend at their residence in San Pedro at 1:30 a.m. Monday, the CHP said.
The baby was wearing a light brown-and-green sweater, green-and-brown stripped onesie and black and white Nike shoes.
The suspect is 37 years old, stands 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 200 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes, and was dressed in black clothing when he allegedly attacked his ex-girlfriend and took the boy, the CHP said.
Santiago-Enriquez has attempted suicide in the past and has made suicidal threats, the CHP said. He could be traveling to Mexico, Oregon or Washington, where he has contacts.
The suspect is driving a 2006 gray Nissan Altima with a license plate No. 5UCF010. Anyone seeing it should call 9-1-1.
