Fresno police are asking for the public’s help to find a suspect wanted for alleged grand theft, forgery and passing fictitious checks.
On Wednesday, Sgt. Mark Hudson said police are looking for William Dale Jenkins for allegedly stealing a $4,039 check in April from the mailbox of a commercial cleaning business in southeast Fresno. He allegedly altered the check and made it payable to himself, signed it, and then deposited it into his own Bank of America account. Hudson said the theft wasn’t noticed by the business until auditing occurred in late October.
Hudson said Jenkins is a methamphetamine user with a history of violence and theft. His last known address was along the 3100 block of West Dakota Avenue in central Fresno.
Anyone with information about where he may be is asked to call Detective Donnie Dinnell at (559) 621-6334, or Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-STOP. A $1,000 reward is available for information leading to an arrest. (The case number 14-74833.)
