Three Hanford retailers were robbed early Wednesday morning, police said.
Hanford police Lt. George Hernandez said the front glass door of the Verizon store at 2563 N. 11th Ave. was smashed in and several items were stolen around 4:30 a.m. Police then responded to another alarm at 5:19 a.m. at the JCPenney retail store in the Hanford Mall. Officers and deputies from the Kings County Sheriff’s Office surrounded the store and searched it but did not find anyone.
While investigating the second robbery, police received a third alarm at 6:23 a.m. at the Kicks and Caps store on 1862 W. Lacey Blvd., Hernandez said. The glass front door was shattered, and it isn’t clear what was taken from the building.
Police are investigating if the three crimes are linked. Anyone with information is asked to call the Hanford Police Department at (559) 585-2540.
