Officers searched Kristen Thompson’s home on the 300 block of North Ferger Avenue after finding her in possession of ammunition and on parole. Officers found Thompson, 32, and Derek Smith, also 32, inside the detached garage of the home. Smith told officers he lived there. He was also on parole.
During the search, officers found methamphetamine, a large amount of narcotic paraphernalia, and a cut down .22 caliber rifle.
Police said Smith is a Fresneck gang member with an extensive criminal history. He was booked into Fresno County Jail on several firearm-related charges and parole violation. Thompson was also booked into jail for narcotic-related charges and parole violation.
