Two Porterville residents were arrested Thursday for allegedly selling marijuana and methamphetamine out of their home.
Porterville police Sgt. Dominic Barteau said Richard Terrel, 40, and Chandra Terrel, 40, were arrested just after 9 a.m. after police found 17 marijuana plants, 3 ounces of processed marijuana, a small amount of methamphetamine packaged for sale and drug sale paraphernalia in their home in the 1800 block of West Morton Avenue. The search was the result of an investigation by Porterville narcotics detectives.
Detectives also determined that two children, ages 14 and 7, lived in the home. Barteau said the children had access to the area where the methamphetamine was stored.
Barteau said both suspects were under the influence of narcotics when arrested. Both were charged with various drug and drug sale charges, in addition to a child endangerment charge.
