Woman injured in Fresno shooting

A woman had minor injuries after she was shot Thursday morning outside a Fresno convenience store.

Fresno police arrested four people following the incident near Fresno Street and Washington Avenue about 11:15 a.m., Lt. Phil Cooley said.

The woman was shot in the shin and her injuries are not life-threatening, he said.

The shooting occurred following a brief argument.

The incident led to the lockdown of Yokomi Elementary School, a magnet school in Fresno Unified School District.

Spokeswoman Susan Bedi said the school went off lockdown about 12:20 p.m.

She said families will be advised of the incident. No children were in danger, she said.
