A Dinuba man was convicted Thursday for felony lewd acts with girls on a Visalia middle school campus where he worked dating back to 2013.
Luis Lopez, 30, a campus supervisor at Valley Oak Middle School, was found guilty by a Tulare County jury in front of Judge Kathryn Montejano of 11 counts of lewd acts upon a child 14- and 15- years old, and four counts of lewd acts upon a child under 14 years of age.
The jury also found Lopez guilty of a special allegation of substantial sexual conduct.
The crimes against the older child happened between March 19, 2013 and Feb. 3, 2014. The younger child, a 13-year-old, was assaulted on Feb. 7, 2014. All of the crimes happened on the Valley Oak Middle School campus during school hours.
Lopez faces 21 years and four months in state prison. Lopez will also be required to register as a sex offender for the remainder of his life. His sentencing is set for Sept. 1.
