A Fresno man was arrested Friday after allegedly shooting a rival gang member at gas station in Madera County on Sept. 30, the Madera Police Department said.
Luis Martinez, 24, allegedly shot the man in the chest, but he survived. The man was with his wife and daughter at the gas station when Martinez recognized him as a rival gang member and opened fire, police said.
Authorities served two search warrants in Fresno County on Friday and arrested Martinez on suspicion of murder, assault with a firearm and being a felon in possession of a firearm. Police said Martinez is on probation for drugs and gun possession.
